Peonies are the star of the Spring garden, with huge, multi-petaled blooms and gorgeous coloring. Garden peonies, like those featured in the Romance Collection, are classic spring garden flowers in shades of whites, pinks, and reds. They unfurl from tight buds in mid-spring and are captivating to watch come to maturity. Itoh peonies, like those in the Blush Collection and Sunrise Collection, are hybridized between tree peonies and garden peonies, with stronger stems and a wider variety of colors. They bloom slightly later than traditional peonies, extending the peony season for a few weeks longer.
The Sunrise Collection features three limited Itoh peony varieties:
· Bartzella - Sunshine yellow flowers with a red center, up to 32" tall, blooms May to June.
· Orange Victory - Highly sought after orange petals maturing to peach, up to 28" tall, blooms May to June.
· First Arrival - Magenta pink fading to soft lavender-pink, up to 28" tall, one of the first Itohs to bloom in early May.
